It's a chance to stand up and show our farmers and fishers just how much we care!
About this event:
Anita Stewart known for her best-selling book on the regional foods of Canada, Flavours of Canada, developed this event as a response to the BSE crisis that was decimating the Canadian beef industry in 2003. The website www.flavoursofcanada.ca was created to host what she dubbed The World's Longest Barbecue ~ Canada Day 2!
This event is held at 6 p.m. on the first Saturday of August every year. Geographic boundaries collapse as the celebration begins and griller's from coast to coast cook their own great regional foods!
So come out and join us with celebrating the World's Longest Barbecue this Saturday!

Theatre Aquarius, Hamilton's Regional Professional Theatre, is pleased to announce tickets for its annual fundraiser, Saab Vine Dining are selling quickly. They would make the ideal gift for that "Special someone" (they would also make an ideal birthday or anniversary gift too!). Celebrating its 16th anniversary, this event has been sold out for the past nine years!
Tickets are $125 and only a limited number are available. While at the event you can purchase a $2 ticket for a chance to win a two night stay for two in a Luxury Fireplace Suite at the charming Casablanca Winery Inn.
Complimentary transportation to and from the event is provided courtesy of First Student Canada (formerly Laidlaw Transport) and can be reserved at the time of purchase. Space is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.
