Our Winery

Situated on the slopes of the Niagara Escarpment with Lake Ontario in the distance, Vineland Estates Winery has been consistently referred to as "Niagara's Premiere Wine & Culinary Experience".

In 1979 fifty acres of the 75 acre Estate were planted with German Riesling vines. Established on a homestead dating back to 1845, the Estate, while utilizing many of the original historic buildings has evolved into a world class winery and restaurant.

Vineland Estates Winery can lay claim to having one of the best locations for growing grapes. The slopes of our new vineyards are perfect for our recent plantings of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Pinot Grigio and Pinot Blanc vines, imported directly from French nurseries.

From our expanded vineyards of European vinifera grape vines, Vineland Estates Winery produces a wide range of both red and white wines, as well as world renowned Icewines. The production of the winery is currently 60,000 cases and much of the wine is sold on site in the Wineshop. We also export our wines to Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong, the United States of America, United Kingdom, as well as the Canadian provinces of British Columbia, Alberta, Manitoba and Quebec.

The Restaurant @ Vineland Estates Winery, features local Niagara cuisine, throughout the year. We welcome private groups in our historic stone Carriage House which dates back to 1857. The Carriage House is available for elegant private functions as well as special occasions, receptions, small weddings and meetings.

TOUR POLICY

** All Tours are subject to a non refundable deposit for tours that are cancelled within 24hours of tour date or fail to show.
Tour groups that arrive late by 15 minutes or more are subject to automatic cancellation of the tour based on availability to accommodate a late arrival.
Non Refundable Rates:

• Private Tour - $25.00
• Group Tour (10 people or more) - $50.00

Tour bookings must be accompanied by a Credit Card to secure tour time and date.
Last tour time available daily is 5:00pm.

PUBLIC TOURS - $9/person which includes 3 classic wines and $5 "day of" coupon for any wine purchases

Public tours are offered year-round for individuals and small groups, and are scheduled according to the season. Throughout the summer until October, tours are offered twice daily at 12:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m., seven days a week. Throughout the fall and winter from November until May tours are offered on Saturday and Sunday at 4:00 pm.

The tour provides an overview of the winery and its operations, from the vineyards to the cellars, and includes tasting three of our classic wines. It lasts approximately 60 minutes and the cost is $9 per person. There is no need to make a reservation for the public tour; simply come to the Wineshop shortly before the tour time and let the staff know you’d like to participate.

Private tours can be held between 11am and 5pm daily.
Private tours must be booked a minimum 48 hours in advance.
A credit card number is required at the time of booking.
